I Need an Adventure

It was a much needed reconnection. We sat and chatted at the bar for about an hour. The food was good. The company was good. I couldn’t attest to the adult beverages, since I felt noon was too early to be drinking, and I just didn’t feel it. The interior was nautically rustic. It spoke of history that neither of us knew, and in all actuality it wasn’t saying very much. Hints of being an old pub and inn were everywhere, but I didn’t inquire to the bartender if she knew what was what.
