A Poetic Explanation of Blogging from an Avid Blogger

I don’t care if poetry
Is useless to you
I don’t care if you
Don’t want to read what I say
I don’t care that you
Dislike or disapprove
Of my thoughts and feelings
Because the fact of the matter is
None of them are yours
You do not posses them
You do not think them
You do not feel them
You do not write them
And no one is making you
Read them

  1. When I was a freshman in high school I had a blog on Xanga, and many of my posts were all poetry. Some sophomore girl (who happened to be dating a senior, and was therefore superior) felt it necessary to read my posts and berate me about how much poetry I wrote. “There’s just too much poetry.” All that to say… I know how you feel.

    • I appreciate the affirmation, and sympathize with your experience. Poetry is useless for those who are not in touch with their soul and do not desire expression. I sympathies with those people too. They must lead heartbreaking lives.
